On our last day in Montreal Jen wanted a burger and poutine. We found this place a block from our hotel. The restaurant has a huge bird out front with a ketchuped fry in it’s mouth. That bird out front was what lured us in. So we took the bait.
Elk/Deer meat grilled to juicy perfection. Topped with real caramelized onions,(no sugar added), dijon mayo, mild Emmenthal cheese, pickle slices and lettuce. OMG!!! Thought I died and went to the North Pole. It’s true,Rudolph you’ll go down in history,as the most flavorful burger I’ve ever had.
Then there was the Montreal famous poutine. Just look at this beauty. When it comes to authentic poutine, only the best ingredients will do. Frite Alors uses fresh cut fries, not frozen. Most places use frozen fries these days. The full of flavour gravy is amazing(like drinking liquid cow). The cheese curds are the secret. Real fresh cheese curds will squeak between your teeth when you bite them.
All this and a refreshing Quebec micro-brewery beer.
